The Similarities Between Ipods And Pea Pods

My personal research and experience suggests that there is a direct correlation between iPods and pea pods. Let me take you on the journey that I took to reach this conclusion. For an old 20th century person that has been dragged into the 21st century I feel very perplexed when it comes to dealing with the modern electronic equipment of this younger generation. I am living in a time when you hear of things that were not even dreamed of when I was a child. So many initials that you wonder if they have added new letters to the alphabet since you were a youngster. The one that really gets to me is the iPods. Back in my day teachers taught that you don t put a capital in the middle of a word, and, now we have iPods. I decided to do my own research on iPods because I knew a little about pods, pea pods that is. You know the little green vegetable. My personal research and findings found that iPods and pea pods have a lot in common to each other. Now take the pea pod. In my early days they meant rest. After weeding under a hot boiling sun I was...

A New Look Of Egg

We are frequently advised by our doctors that if you have high cholesterol level, you should avoid taking any egg especially the egg yolk. So, most of us will equate taking egg yolk to having heart disease because a high cholesterol level will possibly raise the risk of heart disease. Such fear has been instilled in our mind for the last thirty years. Several notable studies have proven that there is actually weak relationship between egg intake and heart disease. Egg white is a source of protein that is rich in essential amino acids. These acids are required for health but not produced by the body and available only through food. The proteins found in eggs can benefit athletes for the extra energy they require, children for their needs for muscle-building and old people for their requirement to arrest muscle decline. The yellow egg yolk contains lutein that is excellent for protecting the eyes from age-related degeneration and cataract. The lutein found in eggs is three times better absorbed by the body than is lutein from other sources...

Caffeine Addiction And Chronic Fatigue Recovery

In spite of being a constituent in products commonly used for energy, caffeine over-stimulates the adrenal glands, which only causes the illusion of an increase in energy due to increasing the hormone adrenaline. Over time, excessive use of caffeinated substances will cause an adrenal addiction and the glands will produce less adrenaline naturally until they no longer produce at all, which will lead to permanent fatigue since the adrenals are not known to regenerate. Those addicted to caffeine are on a dangerous downhill slope and need to take decisive action because it will only get harder to recover later. Naturally with everyone having to run around as a human doing rather than as a human being just to make ends meet in society today, the last thing most people have the energy for is to break a habit. Breaking habits definitely requires substantially more energy to overcome them than it does to maintain the habit, but almost all of this is mental a purely mental battle where one generally surrenders to routines rather than muster the...

Baltimore Orioles And The History Of Camden Yards

In April 1992, Camden Yards opened it s doors as a brand new 100 million facility that was designed under the architectural guidance of HOK Sport and constructed by Danobe Construction. Located just two blocks from Babe Ruth s birthplace in downtown Baltimore, the centerfield at this 85-acre facility is also the site at which Ruth s father once operated Ruth s Caf . In the beginning, there was some debate over the name to be given to the new ballpark. Some felt that it should be named Oriole Park after it s tenants, the Baltimore Orioles, but others were set on calling it Camden Yards. In a pleasing compromise, the park was ultimately named Oriole Park at Camden Yards. Just like every other ballpark in Major League Baseball, a number of memorable events have been hosted at Camden Yards. Among them, the 1993 All-Star game was held here. awed fans by competing in his 2,131st consecutive game and, ultimately, breaking the record set by Lou Gehrig. The following year, in 1996, Eddie Murray hit his 500th career homerun. In addition, the only...

Is A College Or University Education Becoming Just A Dream?

The cost of higher education has been rising significantly faster than the rate of inflation or the growth in family incomes for decades. In the early 1980s tuition and fees began to grow much more rapidly than consumer prices, the cost of attending college rose over three times as fast as median family income. The problem has reached a crisis level today. The Advisory Committee on Student Financial Assistance indicates that cost factors prevent 48 percent of college-qualified high school graduates from attending a four-year institution, and 22 percent from attending any college at all. The statistics are similarly bleak for middle income students and families. At this rate, by the end of the decade, more than 2 million college-qualified students will be completely denied the opportunity for a postsecondary education. Obviously this is not the type of information a person desiring to earn a good salary wants to hear. Most people are not eager to saddle themselves with huge amounts of debt in the form of student loans just to get a college...
